1919 Questions
Is the semi-auto 1919 legal in California?
Yes, ALL of our firearms, except the .50 Cal BMG, are legal in ALL 50 states. Unless your state has just passed some Draconian gun law that we haven't been told about.

Can this gun be shipped to a non-FFL holder?
The firearms can be picked up from the Factory direct, or shipped to a Dealer in your area.

If NOT, can it be shipped to a Class 1 FFL holder?
Yes, we have many collectors in California. We work closely with the DOJ to make sure all of our firearms are legal.

What is the difference between your product and others on the market?
There are allot of differences, but keep in mind that we build collector's items, and our gun parts and sets were made in 1934. All of the companies currently selling 1919s have copied our trigger design and manufacturing techniques. I guess we are suppose to be flattered, but do you want a COPY of an original or the real thing?

Will your 1919 spade grips operate on a semi-auto?
Our spade grips WILL work on semi and full autos.

What is a spade grip?
A spade grip is the type you would typically find on a .50 Cal M2HB. It has two vertical wooden handles on the rear of the gun and firing takes place with the thumb pressure on the center butterfly trigger.

Do you offer the 1918A3 BAR in semi-auto?
Ohio Ordinance makes a great BAR.

Can I purchase a right side plate and some rivets for a 1919?
We only sell the guns. No one has approval to sell 1919 or . 50 Cal semi kits. The BATF has been very clear on this. There are companies that will sell you parts to do this, BUT after you complete your gun, you are on your own. Technically, you must submit your weapon to the BATF technology branch in Washington DC for approval. We have gotten numerous enquiry's from attorneys representing clients who were building a semi-1919. Think about it, when your gun is complete, is it stamped on the right side by the company that got the approval letter? Do you want to prove to law enforcement that yours is the same? What is that hassle worth? Those that have had problems have spent in excess of $30,000 to defend themselves.

Do you have a catalog or flyer?
We have color flyer that we can send, but there are more photos on the website. If you need some flyers to show customers, please call and request some.

Does the 1919 shoot .223 ammo?
No, but they do shoot .308, 30-06, and 7.62x54R.

Are your M1919 barrels new or surplus G.I.?
The barrels are surplus original WWII barrels. They are checked to be of good condition before they will be put in one of our guns.

Will you ship to Canada?
Yes, we have a stocking dealer in Canada. You can contact them directly at: Marstar Canada, phone (613) 678-3173 or fax (613) 678-2359.

Do you sell the M1919 with bipod, carrying handle, and clamp-on shoulder stock?
Yes, this is the A6 configuration. The A4 configuration is used with a tripod or pedestal mount. We sell all types.

What is the difference between an A4 and an A6?
The A4 configuration is commonly mounted on a tripod with the single pistol grip on the rear of the gun. The A6 is made to be more portable as it has a carrying handle, metal stock, and front bipod.

What is the dealer's discount for all A4, A6 guns and accessories?
Stocking dealers should contact us directly and fax us a copy of their FFL. We run specials from time to time to boost your sales. Our fax number is:(503) 429-3505

MG34 Questions
Is the belt fed semi-auto MG34 legal in California?
Yes. We built a special part for the MG34 for California. Since pistol grips are now a great sin against the people's republic of California, we have made a special trigger guard that does not have a pistol grip. The gun is old with a MG42 tripod and is fired by the tripod lever (as it was originally).

I bought one of your MG34's, what parts do I need that are extras?
We can provide you with extra sears, firing pin springs, sear holders, sear rings, eject pins, and trigger gates. Most of the gun uses the original German parts.

Are you going to have the MG34 in a .308?
We are working on this now, although 8mm is cheaper to shoot and more fun!

How much of your MG34 receiver is new?
We build the MG34 receiver from a solid billet! You can find some of the extraordinary machining steps that it takes to make a MG34 receiver out of solid 3.5 x 3.5 x 13 block of steel! The receivers are stamped with German marking and blued. It is hard to tell TNW Firearms from the WWII German!!

Do the parts for the MG34 match each other in codes and serial #?
Most of the guns have major parts matching the serial numbers of the receiver. Some guns have all the parts matching and those select guns are only available from time to time and cost $400 more.

Are the parts refinished to match the new receiver?
Yes. Like all TNW Firearms products, we take great pride in finishing the guns out like they were originally done. They should look and feel like the day they were issued in WWII.

How do I purchase an MG34? Can it be sent through the mail or UPS?
We ship ALL of our products by UPS. You can buy the guns from TNW Firearms directly and pick it up from the factory, OR we can provide you with a dealer in your area to transfer the gun to you.

How much scrutiny is a person under by the authorities if he purchases an MG34?
Well, I see you are diversified! Buying one of our products is the same as any other rifle. There is no special list or government agency tracking your every move. We will see what living under the new Homeland Security will bring us in the future.

I own an MG34. Do you have MG34 barrels for sale? What other parts do you have?
We can provide you with extra sears, firing pin springs, sear holders, sear rings, eject pins, trigger gates, and special grease. Most of the gun uses the original German parts and any MG34 barrel will work.

Does the MG34 use standard barrels?
We can sell you spare barrels and spare bolts.

Do you sell spare bolts for the same gun?
Yes.

How much does shipping cost?
The normal discounted UPS rate for this gun is $35 - $48, depending on your location.

Will the MG34 accept basket/drum mags or belt only?
The drums work well, and we have them in stock.

Will the MG34 work with the 50 rd drum?
Yes. We sell the drums for $45 each.

Will the MG34 work with the standard German WWII accessories and belts?
Yes. We made sure that all accessories fit and work. We have found that some of the after-market top covers for saddle drums are out of spec and must be modified.

Can I change the barrel?
The barrel comes out easily just like the original. You do have to hold the bolt back when you twist the shroud over.

Can you use these with blanks?
Yes. Re-enactor are using these guns with blank firing kits.

Do you sell links for MG34 ammo?
Yes.

Will the MG34 work in the Lafitte 34?
Yes, and we also make an adapter system to shoot them off the MG42 tripod.

Does your MG34 have the outside appearance of the original MG34?
Yes. You really cannot tell the difference between this gun and the original German full auto.

Does the MG34 have the two-position trigger? (up, semi, down full)
No. The MG34 fires in semi-auto only, but the trigger is original.

Can I purchase the MG34 with a Bakelite stock?
We have both Bakelite and wood stocks.

Does the MG34 come with the original bipod?
The gun comes with bipod, links, manual, and ATF approved letter.

Will you ship direct or do I need an FFL holder?
The firearms can be picked up from the Factory direct, or shipped to a Dealer in your area.

Do you require payment in advance?
We charge your Credit Card or deposit your Check when the gun is ready to ship.

M2HB Questions
Is the semi auto M2HB legal in California?
Yes, ALL of our firearms, except the .50 Cal BMG, are legal in California. We provide the buyers in California with the BATF letter and the DOJ letter.

Have you sold any in California?
Yes. We have sold many of our products in California over the years. You have probably seen them in museums, movies, and gun shops.

Do you have any FFLs in the LA area (Orange County / Riverside County)?
We have sold several in this area. ARM USA stocks all of our products. You can contact them directly at (714) 520-4600 from 12 PM on Tuesday thru Sunday.

Will you modify an individual's parts and assemble it into a semi-auto M2HB? If so , how much?
Yes. Many people have been mislead into believing that they can easily buy part kits and build semi-auto M2HBs at home. This a major project both legally and mechanically. As a service to the shooters that have gone down this road, we will take their parts kit, evaluate all the parts for ware or damage, re-plate all the parts, properly assemble the receiver with a new right side plate, and test fire the gun. A real BATF approval letter will accompany the gun to your local dealer.

How much longer will you continue to produce the M2HB semi-auto gun?
All of our products are made in limited quantities. The availability of useable part sets is very limited in the U.S. due to legislative restrictions. The Browning 1919 and the M2HB guns will be produced through 2003. We are continuously developing new products for the collector market, and will phase them in as soon as they complete R & D.

Do you sell "Finished" right side plates only for someone who already has a complete M2HB kit less receiver?
No.

Will you be making an MG42 in a .308?

Misc. Questions
How much money is required to reserve a rifle?
You can reserve a gun for $1000.

What is the white grease that is inside my gun when it came from the factory?
This is a grease we found at Chain Gun Technology. It has properties that allow a weapon of this type to operate reliably. It is synthetic and very light. It works under great pressure and temperature and does not break-down. It protects the rollers, cam surfaces, rotating bolt and barrel threads. We recommend that after cleaning those surfaces, they should be re-coated. The tubes of this mil-spec product are in stock and one tube will last you a long time.
